Arab League Assistant Secretary-General takes oath

Cairo, Jan. 20- (BNA): Newly-appointed Arab-League Assistant Secretary-General for National Security Bahraini Khalil Althawadi took his oath before the Arab-League Secretary-General Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi. The Arab League Council which convened for its 144th session on the level of foreign ministers endorsed the appointment of Althawadi as Assistant Arab League Secretary-General for a five-year term. Assistant Secretary General for Palestine and the Occupied Territories Said Abu Ali, Assistant Secretary-General head of the final control division Mauritanian Mohammed Al-Amin Ould Akik were also sworn in. Tunisian Mohammed bin Omar also took his oath as new secretary-general of the Arab Organisation for Telecommunications and Information Technology.
