Annual Arabian Thoroughbred Camel Race on Golden Sword of HH the Emir Concludes

Doha, April 10 (QNA) - Under the patronage of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended the final day of the annual Arabian Thoroughbred camel race on the golden sword of HH the Emir , which was held this afternoon at Shahaniya Race Square this evening. The race was also attended by HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Personal Representative of HH the Emir, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, United Arab Emirates , and HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, as well as a number of guests . At the end of the events, HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent handed the golden sword to Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the owner of the camel "Al Daw" which won the first rank. His Highness also presented the Golden Dagger to Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, owner of the camel, "Mufti", the first place winner in the first major open game for a distance of 8 km. His Highness also handed the silver sword to Ghanem Bin Mansour Saif Al Kharyeen on behalf of Mansour Mohammed bin Mansour Al Kharyeen .
