Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan meets with deputy head of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce

Bishkek, April 27, 2022. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Kuwait Azamat Karagulov met with Assistant Director General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuwait Emad Al-Zaid, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. During the conversation, the Kyrgyz ambassador highlighted the activities of the Embassy in El-Kuwait and noted economic diplomacy and the challenges of expanding trade and economic ties with Kuwait as its main areas of activity. He spoke about the completion of certification of food products from Kyrgyzstan in Kuwait, the successful experience of supplying mutton, trout and honey and, in general, ample opportunities for the private sector of the two countries in connection with the opening of direct air links from El-Kuwait to Bishkek and Osh. In turn, Emad Al-Zaid spoke about the tasks of Kuwait to ensure food security and diversify food supplies and in this regard, expressed particular interest in importing meat, seasonal fruits and vegetables from Kyrgyzstan. In addition, the assistant director general of the Kuwait Chamber and Commerce expressed interest in the products of the Kyrgyz clothing industry, especially products made of natural wool, leather, cotton and silk. The sides also exchanged views on the timing of the visit of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce in Bishkek and the meeting between the business community, specializing in the supply of food products. Emad Al-Zaid welcomed the visit of the Kyrgyz delegation of manufacturers to Kuwait, assuring the willingness to organize a special exhibition-fair of products, as well as to assist in opening a permanent Kyrgyz showroom in El-Kuwait.
