ALU condemns Sitra blast

Manama, Aug. 19 (BNA): The Arab Lawyers Union (ALU) condemned the terror blast in Sitra which killed two policemen and injured six others. The union denounced in a statement received by President of Bahrain Bar Society Huda Mehza terrorism calling for concerted efforts to confront it. The union held a meeting recently condemning the explosion in Sitra which targeted a police patrol, emphasising strong denunciation of the terror acts in Bahrain which aim to foment crises and tension and incite sectarianism. It underlined the need to hold any party found responsible for those acts accountable, pointing out to preliminary investigations which show implication of a foreign party in the cowardly incident. ALU called on the Bahraini government and people to stand one rank against terrorism, urging the whole world to deter terrorism and confront any country or party found implicated in supporting terrorism.
