Al Markhiya Gallery to Start Summer Program

Doha, June 21 (QNA) - Al Markhiya Gallery will launch its summer events for this year next Tuesday at its premises in Souq Waqif. The events, which include two exhibitions by 15 prominent Qatari and Arab artists, begin with the "summer showcase part one" extending until June 21. Part two, which opens its doors July 25, runs until September 1st. Al Markhiya Gallery was established with the initiative of HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Thani with a mission to promote art and culture in Qatar and the region. A pioneer in linking plastic arts with its heritage audience in Souq Waqif, the Gallery is the private sector's answer to supporting art and creativity in Qatar. (QNA)
