Al-Kadhimi Discusses With Merkel The Overall Bilateral Relations Between The Two Countries, And Ways To Improve Joint Cooperation

Baghdad / NINA / -The Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, met today, Tuesday, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin, which he arrived on his second leg of his European tour. According to a statement by his office, Al-Kadhimi discussed with the German Chancellor the overall bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to advance joint cooperation at various levels and fields. The meeting also included discussing the files of the German-Iraqi partnership in the field of countering terrorism within the international coalition against ISIS, the file of German aid for the reconstruction of liberated areas, as well as cooperation in the field of developing infrastructure and electric power grids, and the role of German companies in this and other sectors. / End
