Al-Attiyah Heads Final Session of Petersburg Climate Change Dialogue

Berlin, July 17 (QNA) - Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority and the President of the Climate Change Conference (COP18), HE Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah and the Federal Environment Minister of Germany Peter Altmaier headed the 5th session of the third Petersburg Climate Change Dialogue, due to conclude here later today. Environment and climatic change ministers have discussed a number of key issues including long-term efforts to reach specific goals to be agreed upon during the COP 18 in Doha. Additionally, they addressed bridging the gap between climatic change policies and initiatives aimed at creating funds to execute projects reducing greenhouse emissions. HE Qatar's Ambassador to Germany Abdulrahman Mohamed Alkulaifi and members of the delegation accompanying HE the Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority have attended the session.
