Al Arabi and Al Gharafa Draw In Qatar Stars League

Doha , January 27 (QNA) - Al Arabi and Al Gharafa drew Sunday 1-1, in the 14th round of the Qatar Stars League. Gharafa now have 22 points in fifth place, 10 points more than Al Arabi who lie in the 11th place. Mohammed Salem Al Mal opened the scoring to give Al Arabi the lead in the 52nd minute. The goal was a result of patient build up from the century club that saw a number of players involved in the play. Al Gharafa replied just 14 minutes later when Frenchman Djibril Cisse received an exquisite pass from Nene and struck it past the Arabi goalkeeper. In other games in the league, Al Kharaitiyat and Al Wakra also drew 1-1. Al Wakra now lie in eighth place with 16 points. Al Kharaitiyat grabbed their 12th point of the season, they are now in 10th place. Abdul Aziz Al Ansari broke the deadlock to give Al Kharaitiyat the lead, then Anwar Deba equalized for Al Wakra in the dying moments of the game. (QNA)
