Akylbek Zhaparov meets with members of American-Kyrgyz Business Council

Bishkek, Oct. 25, 2022. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov met with members of the American-Kyrgyz Business Council, the press service of the Cabinet reported. During the meeting, measures were discussed to further strengthen the trade dialogue between Kyrgyzstan and the United States of America. The chairman of the Cabinet noted that in April of this year, during a working trip to the United States, he invited representatives of American business to visit Kyrgyzstan on a study visit. He also expressed hope that during this mission, representatives of American companies will have the opportunity to more specifically study the trade and investment opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic and establish mutually beneficial contacts with the country's business circles. “The Kyrgyz Republic is always open for investment. Now the Cabinet of Ministers is pursuing a policy to create the most comfortable conditions for business. A liberal legislative framework has been created in the country regarding the protection of the rights of foreign investors,” said Akylbek Zhaparov, adding that President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed the Law “On the Park of Creative Industries” and Kyrgyzstan became the first country in the world to adopt such a document. In turn, representatives of the American-Kyrgyz Business Council noted that the main goal of creating the organization is to develop business relations between the two countries. “The American-Kyrgyz Business Council represented by its representatives are great friends of Kyrgyzstan. We are ready to support initiatives aimed at strengthening trade and economic ties between the two countries,” said Council Chairman Philip de Leon.
