"Akhbar Al-Youm" honours Bahraini ambassador

Cairo, Apr. 21 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's participation in "Egypt Economic Development Conference" (EEDC), held in Sharm El-Sheikh last month, has been praised.
This came as "Akhbar Al-Youm" Publishing House honoured the Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa during a celebration held here to distribute the Mustafa and Ali Amin Awards for 2014.
Board Chairman of the "Akhbar Al-Youm" Yasser Rizk and the Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab honoured the winners, who included ministers, officials, ambassadors and media persons.
Akhbar Al-Youm said the Kingdom of Bahrain was honoured because of to its positive contribution to the success of EEDC.
It hailed HM the King's participation in the conference, and directives to the representatives of business and private sector and financial and banking institutions to discuss with their Egyptian counterparts ways to bolster joint cooperation.
It extended sincere thanks and gratitude to the Kingdom's leadership, government and people for their constant support to Egypt, and keenness on ensuring its economic prosperity, stressing that HM the King's participation in EECD was a living proof of Bahrain's backing for Egypt in all circumstances.
Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa described his hnouring as an honouring for the kingdom and its leadership by the brotherly Egyptian people.
It also reflects the outstanding solid Bahraini-Egyptian relations, in line with the keenness of HM the King and President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to constantly bolster them and open up new horizons for them, he said.
Through his participation in the economic summit, HM King Hamad wanted to reaffirm Bahrain's support for Egypt's security and stability, given the fact that economic progress is cornerstone of economic of stability, he added.
The ambassador extended sincere thanks and gratitude to HM King Hamad, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister for their constant support for consolidating ties with brotherly Egypt.
He affirmed that the honouring of the kingdom by one of the leading press establishment in Egypt was the fruitful outcome of the firm stances of Bahrain's leadership in support of Egypt's leading role in the region.
The Bahraini envoy congratulated brotherly Egypt on the outstanding success of its economic conference in achieving its goals.
