Agreement between Turkey and Switzerland on prevention of double taxation to go into effect soon, says finmin

-ISTANBUL (A.A) - Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said Friday that the agreement on prevention of double taxation between Turkey and Switzerland would to into effect soon. Speaking at a panel discussion on double taxation as part of the "Seventh Turkey-Switzerland Economic Forum" held at the Istanbul Stock Exchange, Minister Simsek said that the agreement on the prevention of double taxation would go into effect before the new year. There is a wide area in which we can cooperate and make investments with Swiss companies. I am hopeful that the agreement on double taxation would lead to further cooperation and investments, Simsek said. "The banks in Switzerland need not be concerned. We have trust in our citizens. We do not approach our citizens with suspicions," Simsek said.
