Advisory Council Holds Ordinary Session

Doha, June 11 (QNA) - The Advisory Council held on Monday its ordinary meeting in the framework of its 40th regular session under the chairmanship of its Speaker HE Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi. At the outset of the meeting, the Secretary General of the Advisory Council HE Fahad Bin Mubarak Al Khayareen read the agenda which was then agreed upon. The Advisory Council then approved the agenda of its previous session. The two following memoranda were read: 1. A memo by the Cabinet General- Secretariat addressed to the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the Cabinet's recommendations about the draft budget for major public projects of the state for the fiscal year 2012/2013. 2. A memo by the Cabinet General- Secretariat addressed to the General-Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) on the recommendations of the Advisory Council on medical services and health care. The Advisory Council took note of them. The Advisory Council also discussed the following reports: 1. A report by the Cultural Affairs and Information Committee about the draft law amending some provisions of Law No. (10) for the year 2003 establishing the State Incentive and Encouragement Awards for Literature, Arts and Sciences. 2. A report by the Cultural Affairs and Information Committee on the draft law regulating the media activities. 3. A report by the Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs on the draft law regulating ship broking professional activities. The Advisory Council decided to submit its relevant recommendations to the Cabinet. (QNA)
