Acting President Zhaparov meets with CCTS Secretary General Amreyev

Bishkek, Oct. 27, 2020. /Kabar/. Acting President of Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister Sadyr Zhaparov met on Tuesday with Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States Baghdad Amreyev. According to the Kyrgyz president's press service, Zhaparov informed the CCTS head about the current political situation in the country. The parties discussed topical cooperation issues, and noted the importance of their strengthening between the member states of the Cooperation Council. "Turkic-speaking countries have always been close partners, we are bound by common historical roots, similarity of languages, cultures and traditions of our peoples," Sadyr Zhaparov noted. In turn, Baghdad Amreyev spoke about the work of the Turkic Council to expand cooperation between the participating countries in the economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, as well as a draft of the Turkic Council-2025 strategy, which defines the prospects of the organization. In the framework of the meeting, the sides noted the importance of intensifying efforts to establish the Turkic Investment Fund of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States. The acting president of Kyrgyzstan noted the Kyrgyz side is ready for cooperation in all directions, and welcomed the initiative to locate the head office of the CCTS Investment Fund in Bishkek. As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to maintain a regular dialogue in order to deepen cooperation between the CCTS member states. Print
