Abylgaziev and head of OSCE Program Office in Bishkek discuss cooperation

Bishkek, Aug. 3, 2018. / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkaliy Abylgaziev met today with head of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, Ambassador Pierre von Arx, the Kyrgyz Government’s press service reported.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and implementation of the OSCE program and project activities in the Kyrgyz Republic.
"We always feel support of OSCE in the processes associated with democratic transformations and socio-economic development. We are grateful to you for assistance in the implementation of various projects. I hope that further cooperation between our country and the OSCE will be developed and supplemented by the implementation of new program projects," the Prime Minister stressed.
Abylgaziev especially noted the support provided by the OSCE in countering terrorism and combating manifestations of radicalism, great work being done in the field of economy, ecology and environmental protection.
The Prime Minister focused on the transparency of the process of building the Open Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
"Our republic became the first country in Central Asia to join the Open Government Partnership. Being the first in the region to join the Initiative is a great honor, but at the same time a great responsibility. The "Open Government" will help to establish a dialogue with civil society, to create transparency and accountability of state bodies and local self-government bodies. This initiative is very important for us. Now we have the task to form the National Action Plan for two years," Abylgaziev said.
The Prime Minister noted that President Sooronbay Jeenbekov and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic are committed to effective work on building an open public administration system.
In his turn, the head of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, Ambassador Pierre von Arx, stressed the readiness to continue supporting our country, rendering necessary assistance to it.
He said that for 20 years of cooperation, the republic received assistance from the OSCE worth $ 120 million. Currently, the OSCE is working together with the state authorities in the development of judicial and electoral systems, digitalization and others.
During the meeting, the head of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek drew attention to the implementation of the electronic interdepartmental interaction system "Tunduk", which needs to be improved in a number of aspects.
As a result of the meeting, the sides noted their readiness to hold a series of high level events on electronic business and parliamentarism this autumn.
