Abu Rudeineh: We Rely on Qatar's Role During Next Initiative Follow-up Meeting

Doha, January 31 (QNA) - Palestinian Presidency Spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh highlighted the importance of Qatar's role during the upcoming meeting of the Arab Peace Initiative Follow-up Committee, due to be held on February 4. Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Abu Rudeineh underlined that the Palestinians rely too much on Qatar's role during the Follow-up Committee meeting. "We are lucky that the State of Qatar is chairing the Follow-up Committee of the Arab Peace Initiative," he said. Abu Rudeineh stressed the Palestinian's need for Qatar's support, along with the Arab support, in order to make a strong movement at the international level that contributes to restore the Palestinians rights, the most important of which is the full membership of the United Nations. The Palestinian Presidency Spokesman underlined the importance of consultation with the Qatari leadership before any diplomatic efforts with respect to the peace process, pointing out to the ingoing meetings and consultations between HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
