Abadi Meets The Saudi Media Delegation In The Presence Of Al-Lami

Baghdad, Iraq (NINA) - Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi stressed the necessity of cooperation to end the crises and achieve security, stability and economic growth in the region. The media office of the Prime Minister said, "Abadi met today, the Saudi media delegation, in the presence of the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Baghdad, Abdul Aziz Al-Shammari, the Chairman Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, the head of the federation of Arab Journalists Muayyad al-Lami and a number of members of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate Council." Abadi welcomed the media delegation and briefed him closely on the normal life of Baghdad, calling for focusing on the culture of coexistence and partnership between our countries and peoples and the need to cooperate to end the crises and achieve security, stability and economic growth in the region. Abadi stressed that the relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia are on the right track and we look forward to expanding them in all fields to serve the interests of our two brotherly peoples and cooperation through the Coordinating Council, which is the basis for the growth of economic relations, trade exchange and expertise. He added, "We have succeeded in destroying the political sectarianism and our people today is open and rejects sectarianism and sectarian politicians have remained silent, and we are determined to achieve justice among our people after the victory was achieved by the unity of Iraqis and their sacrifices in the face of Daesh terrorist gang." The members of the Saudi media delegation expressed their satisfaction with the development of the situation in Iraq after the defeat of Daesh and what they touched on the stability and coexistence among the Iraqi people./ End
