Abadi Meets Delegations Of Talas For Military Equipment And Total Oil Company In Paris

BAGHDAD, IRAQ (NINA) - Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi discussed with a delegation from Talas Company for military equipment, arming and equipping the security forces with the necessary equipment to sustain the fight against terrorism. The Prime Minister's Office said in a statement that Abadi met at his residence in the French capital Paris with representatives of the Talas Company for military equipment, headed by its director Patrick Caen, and later met with the delegation of French oil company Total. The statement added that the requirements of the security forces were discussed as well as their capabilities and arming to sustain the fight against terrorism and to clear the liberated areas of mines and war remnants. For his part, the director of the Total Oil Company expressed desire to expand oil and gas investments in Iraq, stressing the company's keenness to deal with the federal government and to establish and develop projects supporting the Iraqi economy in this area./ End
