Abadi Calls On The UN To Support Iraq To Recover Its Money Smuggled Abroad

Baghdad / NINA / Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi stressed that "the government began, an early advance, comprehensive reforms in all aspects of the state and declared war on corruption" calling on the United Nations and its specialized organizations to fight corruption to "help Iraq to recover the people's money contraband abroad". A statement by the Information Office of the Prime Minister quoted Abadi as saying during the workshop, which was hosted by his office today in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to discuss ways to accelerate the fight against corruption, and delivered on his behalf by Assistant Director of his Office, Nofal Abu Shon "The government consider corruption and terrorism as one enemy, while our fighting and our soldiers and our people terrorism, other soldiers fight in the various oversight, integrity and anti-corruption, adding that "we have been recognized from the beginning that the path of reform and the fight against corruption will not be easy, but we are confident of winning this fight because our people stand with us.
