6th NAWC Kicked Off In Sofia With Participation Of More Than 90 Int'l News Agencies, Including NINA

Sofia / NINA /- The 6th International Conference of News Agencies kicked off in Sofia on Thursday with the participation of more than 90 news agencies from around the world, including ( NINA), with a delegation headed by Shafiq al-Obeidi, director of the agency. The conference, which is being held under the patronage of Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, will discuss issues related to the work of news agencies around the world and will discuss the challenges of the new millennium and the problems that face the newspapers and the traditional and social media in the 21st century and its connection with the news agencies' work as the main source of news. The meeting will be a chance to exchange information and opinions between media experts and heads of news agencies in various directions. Participants will also discuss several other topics related to new and emerging sources of revenue, counterfeit news, ways of reducing it, artificial intelligence, ownership, the media and the latest techniques in covering events. The conference is the sixth of a series of conferences held in Moscow in 2004, the second in the Spanish city of Estepona in 2007, the third in Buenos Aires in 2010 and the fourth in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia in 2013 and the fifth in the Azerbaijani capital Baku in November 2016. The News Agencies World Conference (NAWC), established in 2004 in Moscow, aims to ensure that members are able to serve as key players in the growing diversity of the global media market and to ensure the agencies' work capacity remains high as it remains the world's leading news producer despite the emergence of new media. The conference is also working to support the work of the news agencies, to participate in the knowledge of all-important developments in the field of media. And seeks to raise the issues of "digital" in the news agencies and social media as well as alternative models in the work of news agencies and to protect the original work of piracy and the exploration of materials prepared by the news agencies of news collectors. The National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) prepared a detailed report on its media experience and how it made its way in the media as one of the most prominent media sources in the Iraqi political and societal arena because of its honesty in the information and sensitivity in the technical formulation and objectivity in its news and neutrality in its direction and stand at one distance from all political parties and the role played by them in various aspects of life in Iraqi society in addition to its future programs as a young news agency that had been fourteen years ago to be chosen among local news agencies to represent Iraq in this important conference. NINA has participated in four previous NAWC conferences in Spain, Argentina, Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan./ End
