575 new cases of COVID-19 registered, total reaches 12,226

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. It was reported during today’s press briefing of the Ministry of Health that 575 new cases of COVID-19 detected after tests performed in 23 laboratories nationwide in the past 24 hours. In specific, 456 were detected in Ulaanbaatar city with six hospital-acquired case as well as 113 were confirmed in rural aimags. As of today, the total cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia now stands at 12,226. In the past 24 hours, 185 people have been discharged from the hospital, bringing the total number of recoveries to 6,912. Currently, there are 2,583 people who are diagnosed with the virus are undergoing treatment, of which 2,186 are in mild, 317 are in serious, 70 are in critical and 10 are in very critical health condition. Moreover, four more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing the total to 17.
