4,501 new homes distribution begins in Bahrain

Manama, Dec. 20 (BNA): Based on the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, issued during the Government Forum held recently, to distribute 5,000 units as part of 10 projects, the Ministry of Housing has started distribution of residential units to eligible citizens in Al Ramli Housing Project. Housing Minister Bassem bin Yaqoub Al Hamer said the distributing process will continue until mid-January. Al Hamer described Al Ramli Housing Project as one of the government’s strategic schemes to provide 25,000 housing units within the Government Action Plan (GAP2015-2018). The project features 4,501 units and apartments on 100 hectares of land, 9 gardens, 2 primary schools, 1 nursery school (KG), popular market, 11 shopping malls, 1 grand mosque and 5 smaller mosques, according to the ministry. The project is expected to accommodate 30,000 residents.
