450 Kyrgyzstanis to be sent to work in South Korea

Bishkek, June 15, 2022. /Kabar/. The issues of employment of Kyrgyz citizens were discussed in Seoul, the Ministry of Labor of Kyrgyzstan said Wednesday.
A meeting was held between Kyrgyz Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Aida Ismailova and a representative of the Ministry of Employment and Labor of Korea and employers of Korea with the participation of Kubandyk Akmatbekov, Director of the Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad (CECA) under the Labor Ministry of Kyrgyzstan Kubandyk Akmatbekov, expert of the Secretariat of the Migration Council under the Jogorku Kenesh and a country coordinator of Winrock Int. in the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the prospects for the development of organized employment of Kyrgyz citizens in the Republic of Korea.
In addition, Kubandyk Akmatbekov briefed the meeting participants on the work of the CECA in the area of employment of citizens abroad.
This year, 321 citizens have already left and are working in the Republic of Korea. 150 more citizens are currently being prepared to be sent. Thus, more than 450 citizens will be sent for 6 months.
In the framework of the working visit, it is also planned to organize meetings with heads of district administrations of the Republic of Korea to attract citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic for temporary agricultural work.
