253,430 arrived in Bahrain on May 21-27

Manama, May 28 (BNA): The Assistant Undersecretary for Ports, Search and Follow-up at the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports & Residence said on Thursday that 253,430 people entered Bahrain between May 21 and May 27.
The overwhelming majority (207,364) arrived from Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries via King Fahad Causeway, while 45,483 landed at Bahrain International Airport and 583 came into the kingdom through seaports.
The 25-kilometre long King Fahad Causeway was officially opened on November 26, 1986.
The GCC is made up of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. It was established in 1981.
