19 Illegal Myanmar Migrants Arrested Near Border with Malaysia

SONGKHLA, July 31 (TNA) -- Soldiers and police arrested 19 illegal Myanmar migrants including a woman in Sadao district of Songkhla province just before they sneaked through the border to Malaysia on the night of July 30. The aliens with clothes in their bags were walking in a forest towards the border to cross it into Malaysia through a natural passage. The illegal migrants said that they entered Thailand through Kanchanaburi province and teams of traffickers forwarded them in trips until they reached the borderline. They said they were about to cross the border but a local resident spotted them and alerted authorities. A Malaysian trafficker was waiting for them on the other side of the border. (TNA)
