1.83 Million, Qatar Population as on 31 December 2012

Doha, January 01 (QNA) - The total population of the State of Qatar, according to the data released today by Qatar Statistics Authority (QSA), has exceeded 1.83 million. QSA said that, according to official records the total population in the State of Qatar, on December 31, reached 1,836,676, with 7.5 percent increase compared with December 2011. These data represents the number of persons in all ages (Qataris and Non-Qataris) within the boundaries of the State of Qatar as on 31/12/2012. It does not include Qatar's nationals and legal residents who were outside the State boundaries on 31/12/2012. The Male-to-Female ratio according to QSA is 74 % males to 26 % females. (QNA)
