11th meeting of Kyrgyzstan-XUAR PRC Coordination Group held online

Bishkek, Aug. 2, 2022. /Kabar/. The 11th meeting of the Coordination Group Kyrgyzstan - Xinjiang UAR PRC under the Kyrgyz-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held online. The meeting was chaired by Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev from the Kyrgyz side, and Deputy Chairman of the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR) of the PRC Sun Hongmei from the Chinese sides. The sides noted that they overcame the consequences of the pandemic and made active efforts to implement the protocol of the 10th meeting, which was held in 2019, the press service of the Kyrgyz Economy Ministry said. This was evidenced by the signing of the Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation between the Naryn Free Economic Zone of Kyrgyzstan and the Administration of the Kashgar (State) Comprehensive Bond Zone of China. The agreement is aimed at strengthening trade and economic cooperation, promoting the development of priority sectors of the economy, agricultural products and international e-commerce. The sides also noted theopening of Urumqi-Bishkek-Urumqi air service from July 5 this year, holding the 15th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation on July 26, and the visit of Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi to Kyrgyzstan. The parties agreed to strengthen cooperation in cross-border e-commerce, conduct innovative trade and economic activities, exchange agricultural technologies and experience of agricultural educational institutions, optimize the quarantine process depending on the situation of prevention and control of epidemics.
