Bishkek, June 8, 2022. /Kabar/. The tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan is being presented these days in India. The Tourism Development Support Fund (TDSF) of Kyrgyzstan holds meetings with major travel companies and investors in the format of road shows in New Delhi and Mumbai. More than 200 companies have already expressed their interest, TDSF reported. According to forecasts, the number of tourists from India will increase up to 10 thousand people this year. Summer traditionally accounts for the biggest flow of tourists in Kyrgyzstan, but the Indian side is interested in all seasons, including winter and autumn tours. The road show participants were told about the tourism projects in which they could participate. These include the development of medical tourism and health resort complex, construction of RestPoint network in Kyrgyzstan, launch of regular flights between the capital, Manas airport and the coast of Issyk-Kul, reconstruction of airports in Karakol and Razzakov (Isfana), construction of yurt glamping (luxury places for outdoor recreation) and many others. A Memorandum of Cooperation is already signed with the Salvia promoters (India). Charter flight between Bishkek and New Delhi, launched by Aeronomad, is carried out twice a week. There are plans to increase the number of flights in the future. Visa issues are also being discussed. Tourists from India traveling in organized groups will be able to stay in Kyrgyzstan for two weeks without visas.
