‘Miracle of Thai Food and Fruits’ festival to promote Thai cuisine

BANGKOK, May 15 (TNA) - The state-run Tourism authority of Thailand (TAT) will organize a ‘Miracle of Thai Food and Fruits’ festival in Bangkok later this month to promote authentic Thai cuisine. The ‘Miracle of Thai Food and Fruits’ festival is set to be held at Central World Square from May 25-27, between 11am and 9pm. Presiding over at a ceremony to introduce the festival, TAT Deputy Governor Wilaiwan Thawishsri publicly announced today that the three-day event is aimed to further promote the unique Thai food and cuisine, as well as to generate more revenues for participating food businesses and to boost the national economy. Wilaiwan acknowledged that Thailand's cultures on food consumption and outstanding food dishes in different regions will also be present at the forthcoming festival. According to the TAT deputy governor, the three-day event highlights four popular groups of Thai dishes, including four enlisted as the World’s most 50 delicious menus, namely spicy prawn soup or "tom yam kung" and papaya salad, famous traditional dishes from all Thai regions, cross-culture Thai cuisine and popular dishes for both Thais and foreigners.
