First ever lung lobectomy operation was performed in Bishkek

Bishkek, June 19, 2023. / Kabar/. The first minimally invasive surgical operation on lung lobectomy (removal of a lobe of the lung while maintaining the functioning of the rest of the organ) was performed in Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek, the Ministry of Health of the country reported.

The operation in the master class mode was carried out on the basis of the National Center for Phthisiology as part of a scientific visit by a delegation of doctors from the Center for Thoracic Surgery of Xinjiang Medical University, headed by its head Dr. Che Jun.
