Weak Earthquake Hits Ranau

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 31 (Bernama) -- A weak earthquake, measuring 2.8 on the Richter Scale, hit Ranau in Sabah this afternoon, according to the Meteorological Department. It said in a statement that the temblor occurred at a depth of five kilometres, about two kilometres southeast of Ranau. It also said that areas surrounding the district could have felt tremors. -- BERNAMA
