Moderate Quake Detected In Banda Sea

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 4 (Bernama) -- A magnitude 5.6 earthquake was detected in the Banda Sea, Indonesia at 2.22 pm Friday, according the Malaysian Meteorological Department. The department in a statement said the temblor occurred at a depth of 128 kilometres (km) 419km southeast of Ambon, Indonesia. The statement said there was no tsunami threat to Malaysia. --BERNAMA
