Minister of Environment N.Urtnasan holds virtual meeting with ADB Country Director Pavit Ramachandran

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Environment and Tourism and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has been expanding partnership in matters including air and environmental pollution, water safety, and community-based tourism. On April 6, some officials of the Ministry of Environment and Tourism held a virtual meeting to discuss projects and programs to be implemented in partnership with ADB in 2021-2024. As the ministry has put forth suggestions for projects on reducing soil and environmental pollution, improving forest management, tourism, and developing environmentally-friendly infrastructure, ADB Country Director Pavit Ramachandran expressed that the ADB will partner in implementing the suggestions on the policy level. Furthermore, the sides exchanged information on the project on sustainable tourism development being implemented in Khentii aimag with financing from ADB, coming to the decision to jointly organize meetings for the project.
