Indonesia Hit By Two Moderate Quakes

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 2 (Bernama) – Two moderate earthquakes, measuring 5.3 and 5.7 on the Richter Scale, hit Indonesia Friday. The Malaysian Meteorological Department said a 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck 574 km southeast of Sorong (2,022 km southeast of Semporna, Sabah) at 1.43 pm. A 5.7 magnitude earthquake hit the southern Molucca Sea, 173 km southeast of Tomohon (903 km southeast of Semporna, Sabah) at 8.20 am, it said in separate statements.
