Earthquake Strikes Nicobar Islands

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 25 (Bernama) – An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter Scale occurred in the Nicobar Islands, India, at 9.16 am Thursday, according to the Meteorological Department. It said the epicentre of the quake was 120 km south-west of Nicobar and 864 km north-west of Langkawi. The quake did not trigger any tsunami, it said in a statement. -- BERNAMA
