With Playing Of Master Oud, Nasir Shamma, Abu Dhabi Festival Concludes The Int'l Oud Forum

Abu Dhabi/ NINA / - Abu Dhabi Festival 2021 concluded the series of activities of the International Oud Forum, with the presentation of the seventh episode, which hosted the professor of the Arabic Oud, the Iraqi artist Nasir Shamma through the festival's digital platforms. In the seventh and final episode of the series, Shamma performed three musical pieces, as well as shedding light on the reasons for the challenges of broadcasting the forum virtually. Shamma said during the episode: “At the International Oud Forum, a group of creators gathered to present their visions, ideas, music and innovations in the world of Oud. It is an attempt to unite musicians, makers, researchers and critics in one arena, during which they exchange advice, experiences and ideas about the Oud and its multiple methods, which spread everywhere during the last few years". He continued, "We held the first forum in 2010 in Cairo in cooperation with the Egyptian Opera House - the Ministry of Culture, and the Abu Dhabi Festival, and it included various nights that included all parties concerned with the world of Oud," adding, "This year, we held the second experience of this forum as a virtual world, so that the musician and the audience remain in the party atmosphere, we have also made sure that high-quality, well-studied material from technicians specialized in photography in 23 locations around the world, with the participation of 27 musicians of various nationalities, reaches the audience. On the partnership with the Abu Dhabi Festival, Shamma said, "The Abu Dhabi Festival's relationship extends for 25 years since its first session. We have worked out great, many, diverse and new dreams, most of which were for the first time. This means that it was a private and exclusive production, and this is the 15th experience that we offer in cooperation with the festival and was open to the world,” adding, “The artist was able to give his best, and the Abu Dhabi Festival was able to facilitate all things so that this relationship would be continuous and based on care, great respect and advice to crystallize many ideas to choose correct ways to implement each idea.”/ End
