Vodafone Qatar Clarifies Reports on Q3 Results

Doha, January 20 (QNA) - Vodafone Qatar on Sunday issued a clarification on a press release published on January 17th regarding its financial results for the nine months ending on 31/12/2012. In the clarification published at Qatar Exchange website, Qatar's second telecom operator, said, "We were clear to state that when we achieve Distributable Profits for a full financial year we will be able to pay dividend to our shareholders. "However for the nine-month period our Distributable Profits are negative at QR 25 Million. We understand that this point could be confusing if read in isolation and outside the context of the overall press release of January 16." Clearing doubts, the company said, "Distributable Profit of Vodafone Qatar for the nine-month period to December 31 was a loss of QR 25 Million. The Net Loss for the same period was QR 327 Million. The Distributable Profit of Vodafone Qatar for the three-month period to December 31 was positive QR 14 Million." (QNA)
