Turkmenistan to hold full gasification of country

Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Dec. 19 / Trend H. Hasanov / Turkmenistan will intensify work over gasification of settlements next year, Turkmen official source reported on Monday. The work is done under the State Program on fundamental change social conditions population of villages and towns for the period until 2020. In accordance with this Program it is planned to construct 300.8 km of gas pipeline in 2012. At a last governmental meeting Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov drew attention to establishment of up-to-date socio-economic infrastructure in the country's every region is a primary priority of the state policy. "All objects under construction should be commissioned in accordance with schedule and built in high quality," Berdimuhamedov said. Turkmenistan, according to British Petroleum's report, for natural gas ranks forth place in the world after Russia, Iran and Qatar. The largest fields of the country are focused on in the Mary region, east Turkmenistan "The South Yeloten - Osman" (recently was unified and renamed "Galkynysh") and Yashlar with total estimated reserves of 26.2 trillion cubic meters of natural gas, accoding to local geologists and British GCA.
