Turkmenistan developing digitalization in trade system

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 22
By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:
Stores of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan will be united by a digital system that allows online electronic tracking of goods, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
With the help of this centralized system, it is possible to receive information about the availability of all objects of the retail network with various types of goods, track their movement, and replenish stocks in stores in a timely manner. Also, the introduction of this technology will allow the conduct of electronic reporting on sales and payments with suppliers, monitor, and manage the market.
In general, Turkmenistan has taken comprehensive measures aimed at developing e-commerce.
The national trade system of the country has created a legal framework for the introduction of digital technologies in the management of wholesale and retail networks.
Turkmenistan has a number of laws that include general provisions for online trading.
According to the laws, the following types of online stores can operate in the country: an online store as an additional platform for a working store; an online store that sells only from the supplier's warehouse on request, only through the site; an online store that has its own warehouse, which sells only through the site.
The digitalization in the retail sector makes it possible to optimize business processes and compete in both domestic and foreign markets.
