Turkish-Saudi Arabian trade volume to reach 6 bln USD in 2012, says Economy Minister Caglayan
JEDDAH (A.A) - Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan said Saturday that the trade volume between Turkey and Saudi Arabia increased to 5 billion USD between 2002-2011 and that the trade volume is expected to reach 6 billion USD in 2012.
Speaking at a "Sectoral International Business Forum (IBF)" meeting organized by Turkey's Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) in Jeddah, Caglayan said that many meetings were held in Turkey and Saudi Arabia to boost bilateral relations and that it was now time to implement the decisions taken.
Turkey is a growing giant. We believe that Turkey's trade volume with Saudi Arabia would reach 6 billion USD in 2012, Caglayan stressed.
Turkey will soon become one of the world's biggest 5 countries. Turkey sends 20,000 different products to 229 customs regions in the world. However, Turkey's trade volume with brotherly Saudi Arabia is not at the desired level, Caglayan also said.
