Turkey's export to Libya increases to 1.93 bln USD in 2010
TRABZON (A.A) - 21.02.2011 - Libya is one of Turkey's most important commercial partners in the African continent.
According to the Export Promotion Center of Turkey data, exports from Turkey to Libya amounted to 1.93 billion USD in 2010 with an eight percent increase. Turkey exports iron and steel, cement, furniture, machinery, construction equipment, prefabricated huts and jewelry to the north African country.
Turkish exports to Libya were 1.07 billion USD in 2008 and 1.79 billion USD in 2009.
Turkish firms' investments in the sectors of construction, agriculture, mining, manufacturing and services have reached 60 million USD. Turkish construction firms have undertaken 192 projects in Libya worth of 12.5 billion USD.
