Treasury Bills Issue 1578 fully subscribed

Manama, Dec. 15 (BNA): This week's BD70 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been fully subscribed by 100%, the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced on Monday. The bills, carrying a maturity of 91 days, are issued by the CBB, on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The issue date of the bills is 16th December 2015 and the maturity date is 16th March 2016. The weighted average rate of interest is 1.75%, compared to 1.80% for the previous issue on 09th December 2015. The approximate average price for the issue was 99.560% with the lowest accepted price being 99.444%. This is issue No. 1578 (ISIN BH00026IO435) of Government Treasury Bills. With this, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills is BD1.710 billion.
