Thailand's BOI Fair 2011 thrills hundreds of thousands of people

BANGKOK, January 7 (TNA) - At least 300,000 fairgoers are expected daily on public holidays at Thailand's ongoing BOI Fair 2011, which lasts until January 20 under the theme of “Going Green for the Future”. Organised as the country's first major exhibition of the year, the 16-day BOI Fair is now seeing overwhelming number of visitors at its fairgrounds in Muang Thong Thani in the outskirts of Bangkok. Entrance is free of charge, and visitors are guaranteed a marveling array of green products and innovations on display by some 42 state and private exhibitors. The host Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI) insisted it expects at least 300,000 people to visit the fair daily during this weekend and at least five million visitors throughout the entire fair period, from January 5-20. The BOI Fair 2011 was postponed from late last year due to impacts from Thailand's flooding crisis in the 4th quarter of 2011. (TNA)
