Smooth truck flow on causeway commended

Manama, Nov. 8 (BNA): Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)'s board member and head of the Transports & Logistics Committee Abdul-Hakeem Al-Shemeri lauded the successfully streamlined flow of trucks on King Fahad Causeway. He underlined the positive effect this will have on the export and import activities and the national economy of Kingdom of Bahrain. He praised the tremendous efforts of the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), the Customs Affairs, and the Public Security of the Ministry of Interior, while calling all concerned to adhere to the arrangements made to facilitate the flow of traffic and minimize waiting time. Commenting on the arrangements, Al-Shemeri said: "Three time slots were allocated to trucks according to the type of goods they carry. Trucks with goods that require license from various authorities such as health, environment and commerce will cross from early morning to 2p.m., while those carrying local goods will cross from 2p.m. to 8p.m., and finally empty trucks can cross from 8 p.m. to the early hours of the morning," he concluded.
