Senegal President Meets Qatar's Business, Trade Minister

Doha, May 22 (QNA) - Senegal's President Macky Sall met at his residence at St. Regis Doha with HE the Minister of Business and Trade Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulaziz Al Thani. The two sides reviewed a number of issues on the agenda of the Doha Forum and Enriching the Middle-East's Economic Future conference, which concludes today. They also discussed means of developing and boosting bilateral relations, especially in the fields of business and trade. For his part, the Senegalese president voiced his keenness on forging strong trade partnership between his country and Qatar. HE the Minister of Business and Trade briefed Sall on the work of the Business and Trade Ministry and its role in enhancing and developing Qatar's economy. Qatar and Senegal have previously signed an agreement on economic, trade and technical cooperation, and another one on the protection and encouragement of mutual investment. The two countries had also agreed to create a higher joint committee. (QNA)
