Saudi Oil Minister Stresses The Importance Of Strengthening Bilateral Relations With Iraq To Serve The Mutual Interests

BAGHDAD, Iraq (NINA) - Saudi Oil Minister Khalid Al-Falih stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia to serve the interests of mutual interest and the developed relations of the two countries, pointing to the volume of trade exchange with Iraq amounted to 178 billion Saudi riyals.
"I am happy to be in my second homeland Iraq, this country with its civilization and its sons," praising the former Iraqi civilization and the current renaissance of Iraq," he said in a speech at the opening ceremony of the Baghdad International Fair, added "This exhibition is one of the start-ups of Iraq to develop its relations with others."
"We have strong ties with Iraq and we are moving towards a strong bilateral partnership in the fields of economy and trade," he said, adding, "Saudi Arabia's vision is to develop production by enhancing measures and access to international markets, especially Iraq.
He added that Iraq and Saudi Arabia are bringing together human resources, energy, water, natural resources and high quality in the products of both countries and religious tourism, and investment in this area opens up unprecedented prospects for cooperation between the two countries, pointing out that Saudi Arabia seeks to facilitate procedures for Iraq in all fields.
He stressed "the cooperation is promising a great good for the two countries through coordination between them, which resulted in improving oil prices in OPEC," praising "the cooperation of Iraqi Oil Minister in this area," pointing out that "the volume of investment in Iraq can be doubled in the field of oil and gas soon, as well as in the field of electric power.
"More than 60 Saudi companies participated in the Baghdad exhibition," he said.
"Through the coordination council between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, bilateral relations will be strengthened in all fields to contribute to serve the two countries," he said/ End
