Saudi ARAMCO President Says Oil Industry to Enter Golden Age
Doha , December 06 (QNA) - President and Chief Executive Officer of Saudi oil company Aramco Khalid Al Falih said Tuesday that oil industry is ready to enter its golden age, after fears of oil running out were dismissed.
In one of the events of the 20th World Petroleum Congress (WPC), now in session in Doha, Al Falih said that the oil industry is capable of qualifying new generation of youth efficient cadres and called for developing solutions, through providing new competencies, to the field.
He said that successful oil projects are those that can preserve the strenght of its performance through realism, flexibility and endurance. He said that Aramco's Manifa project, which produces 900,000 barrels of crude a day which is considered a strong example of that.
Falih encouraged oil companies to change their modus operandi to adapt to the new technologies being developed. He also said that the retirement of a number of experienced engineers have left and the entry of younger ones into the field. (QNA)
