QCCI , Taiwanese Delegation Review Joint Cooperation in Alternative Energy
Doha, June 04 (QNA) -Qatar Chamber Of Commerce And Industry (QCCI) reviewed here on Tuesday with a Taiwanese delegation , now visiting Doha, means of enhancing ties of joint cooperation in alternative , renewable and solar energy.
In her address before a meeting with the Taiwanese delegation, Rimmy Rouhani , the director general of QCCI said the meeting represents an ample chance to Qatar and the Taiwanese delegation to enhance further ties of joint cooperation .
She looked forward to doubling trade cooperation between the two sides in addition to cementing bonds of cooperation between the qatari businessmen and their Taiwanese counterparts for the interests of the economies of the two countries.
For his part, David Wang, the head of the Taiwanese delegation, voiced hopes for boosting partnership between his country and Qatar especially in the renewable energy and called upon the qatari side to seize the possible opportunities in this regard.
The two sides discussed cooperation in sectors such as telecommunications, tourism, hotels, logistics and management of ports, airports, transportation, rail and infrastructure.
He referred that qatar is the fourth and last leg of the tour of the taiwanese delegation to the GCC member states which has included each of kuwait, oman sultanate and the UAE , wishing his visit to qatar would yield in fruitful ties of trade cooperation especially in the alternative, renewable and solar energy fields.
The taiwanese official also affirmed that the Taiwanese delegation is seeking to strengthen ties of joint cooperation and create true partnerships with Qatari businessmen in investing in solar energy and other alternative energies in Qatar under the Qatari vision which seeks to preserve the environment and reduce carbon emissions.
