QCCI Attends Qatar-Korea Businessmen Forum in Doha

Doha, November 24 (QNA) - The Qatar-South Korea Businessmen Forum, co-organised by the South Korean Embassy in Qatar and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) opened at the Ritz Carlton Hotel here on Thursday with a view to exploring the best channels for enhancing ties of joint trade cooperation in several sectors, including the chemical and medical industries, infrastructure, transport and agriculture. HE Business and Trade Undersecretary Sultan Rashid Al Khater, in his opening address before the forum highlighted the great role and constant cooperation already existing between the QCCI and the Qatar Businessmen Community with the Business and Trade ministry, the matter which produced positive impact on maintaining the economic and trade relations and ties of effective investment with all countries with South Korea to the fore. Sultan Rashid Al Khater made clear that there is a constant cooperation between the Qatari companies and the South Korean expertise houses and similar world firms to benefit from their expertise to help keep Qatar’s economy further growing in implementation of Qatar national vision 2030. Qatar also benefits from the know-how of those companies within the context of its successful bid for hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Qatar has committed to billions of dollars’ worth of spending on stadia, transport, accommodation and other infrastructure in line with its successful bid for the 2022 FIFA World Cup The forum discussions are aimed at enhancing ties of trade cooperation between the businessmen of the two countries especially in areas of petrochemicals, medical and bio-industries, infrastructure, transport and agriculture. They also discussed the GCC e-recruitment draft plan and organising a seminar on the practices and experiments to choose the best of them. (QNA)
