Qatari- Egyptian Business Council Meets in the Presence of President Morsi
Doha, March 27 (QNA) - The Qatari-Egyptian business council has met here in the presence of Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi with a view to exploring means of boosting and enhancing scopes of joint trade cooperation between the members of the council and help remove all pending obstacles in this direction.
HE Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Bin Mohamed Al Thani, the Board Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) said that the presence of the Egyptian President in the meeting held here last night, is further consolidating and completing the joint goals aimed to shore up and consolidate the trading, economic and investment ties of cooperation between the businessmen of the two countries.
HE sheikh khalifa voiced hope such a meeting would be an outset of a new page in the march of bilateral relations and a new way in mechanisms of proceedings allowing and facilitating the free of ushering projects and transfer of investment easily and smoothly between the two countries.
The QCCI board chairman has pointed out that Qatari businessmen announced earlier in April 2011, the establishment of a company with a capital of Egyptian Pounds 500 Million in order to establish an agro-industrial area set for food production on an area of 20,000 acres in Egypt's desert to contribute to achieving food self-sufficiency for Egypt.
He added that the Joint Business Council has also announced several projects between the two sides in Egypt and Qatar, as well as many of the initiatives undertaken by individual businessmen in the two countries to set up joint ventures in Egypt or Qatar.
It is noted that president Morsi left Doha last night after having attended the 24th ordinary Arab summit which concluded here Tuesday night. (QNA)
