Qatari Business Women's Association Awards Eight Elite Qatari Women's
Doha, December 14 (QNA) - Qatar Businesswomen Association has concluded the Qatar Business Women Award honoring eight elite Qatari women in both professional and business categories.
The Award presentation ceremony was held at the Four Seasons Hotel under the kind auspices of H.H Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser, Chairman of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.
The ceremony was the culmination of a long process of preparations, training, and assessment after the high demand seen in the award by business and professional women in Qatar and after the applications were assessed against the five criteria that were at the same time subject for the workshops provided for women to qualify for the award.
In this context: the Qatari Businesswomen Association announced the names of the following winners:
- The 2011 QBWA Innovation Criteria winner is: Dalia Ahmed Al Khalaf, Enterprise Qatar
- The 2011 QBWA Community Contribution & Participation Criteria winner is: Amal Abdulla Al Aathem, Art Co-ordinator & Qatari Conceptual Artist
The 2011 QBWA Career Achievement Criteria winner is: Mashael Abdul Aziz Al Derham, Qatar Islamic Bank, (QIB)
- The 2011 Leadership Criteria winner is: Abeer Noaman Al Emadi, International Bank of Qatar
- The 2011 QBWA Future Goals & Financial Performance Criteria winner Sharoq Ibrahim AlMalki, Qatar Museums Authority
- The 2011 QBWA Business Winner is: - Noor Ajlan Al Kuwari, Kro-K Interior Design
- The 2011 QBWA Professional Runner Up is: Sheikha Najlaa Binta Jabor Bin Jassim Al Thani, Dolphin Energy.
- The 2011 QBWA Professional Winner is: Dr Hayat Khalil Hassan Nazar Heji, Al Noor Institute for the Blind
The ILM certificates were also distributed to those applicants who completed and submitted the work.
The Master of the Ceremony, TV Anchor Laila Al Shaikhli inaugurated the evening by applauding the significant role played by Qatari Businesswomen Association in promoting the achievements of Qatari women, and praised the Qatari community for supporting and adopting women participation and said: "We are here today to talk about accomplishments, and recognize talents, and potentials, and this is the real purpose of the award, we had the opportunity to meet all these outstanding women, The importance of this award is that not only they learn from it, it also learns from them and not only it inspires them, they inspire it! It considers their achievements and their potentials and explores their strengths.
"We are all proud of these talented Qatari women, and we truly hope that this award will open new doors for all of you in your careers and businesses" she added.
Aisha Alfardan, Vice Chairwoman of the Association, expressed in her speech her optimism about what this award is offering Qatari Women, and stressed its importance in recognizing experiences, initiatives and successful projects, and in reinforcing the culture of planning and performance assessment: "We in Qatari Businesswomen Association, consider that our mission is to take your hands and help you to take the first step of the road, we do not see in this award, the end of the journey of success, it is only the beginning, the beginning of a long road I hope will be full with more successes"
"I personally think that all of you are winners, and I truly hope that this journey had added some confidence and excellence as it added to all of us"
